We are proud to share some exciting news: Miami-Dade County’s Department of Community Action and Human Services (CAHSD) and Miami EdTech have been nominated for “Collaboration of the Year” at the 2025 South Florida Tech Hub Golden Palms Awards!
This recognition celebrates the work we’ve done together on Workforce.Miami, a first-of-its-kind platform connecting residents to high-quality training, resources, and career opportunities in South Florida’s growing tech and innovation economy.
Workforce.Miami was originally launched under the Office of Innovation and Economic Development, created by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to drive bold, future-focused solutions for Miami-Dade. Earlier this year, the platform transitioned to CAHSD to ensure it would continue to grow and expand access countywide.
Through Workforce.Miami, we’ve been able to bridge gaps between education, workforce training, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities ensuring that no resident is left behind as Miami’s innovation economy accelerates.
Voices from the Partnership
Mayor Daniella Levine Cava put it best: “Workforce.Miami is the realization of our vision — bringing together government, nonprofit, and industry partners to ensure every resident can participate in and benefit from our growing innovation economy.”
William Porro, Assistant Director at CAHSD, echoed the power of collaboration, calling Workforce.Miami “the future of workforce development being accessible, equitable, and aligned with the needs of both job seekers and employers.”
For us at Miami EdTech, this recognition is a powerful reminder of why we do this work. As our President Carlos Vazquez shared: “Workforce.Miami is the embodiment of our mission to equip educators, students, and job seekers with the skills to thrive in today’s digital economy.”
